The FanimeCon 2013 staff would like to unfortunately announce that Chris Patton will not be attending FanimeCon 2013 due to a family emergency.
We would like to wish him and his family the best and we will work on having him attend FanimeCon in future years.
In lieu of his autograph session (Saturday from 1PM to 2PM), we are going to hold an open session where attendees/staff are welcome to sign messages to Mr. Patton that will be mailed to him after the convention.

Viz Media will be bringing Berserk Golden Age Arc II: The Battle for Doldrey to FanimeCon 2013. The two screenings will take place over the FanimeCon weekend on Saturday (Film Room at 5:30 PM) and Sunday (Film Room at 3:30 PM). Note that the film will only be available for members that are 17 and older.Berserk Golden Age Arc II: The Battle for Doldrey follows The Band of the Hawk as they participate in the Midland war campaign. On the bloody battlefield, they conquer decisive victories that lead them to Doldrey, an old fortress that will decide the outcome of the war. Amid all this carnage, Griffith’s words still resonate in Guts’ head and make him wonder what he should do once this conflict is over.
eigoMANGA will be screening Padak at FanimeCon in the Film Room on Saturday at 4:00 PM.
‘Padak’ is an award-winning film (directed by Lee Dae-hee ) about the lives of fish in a seafood restaurant – some fish accepting their fate while others fight to change it. A mackerel (Padak) is caught in a fishing net and ends up in a fish tank of a Korean seafood restaurant. Padak doesn’t give up his dreams of going back to the ocean and continually attempts to escape. The conflict between Padak and his old flatfish deeps as the peace in the fish tank is broken.

San Jose Taiko will be performing for this year’s Opening Ceremonies at 2pm on Friday on the 1st floor of the convention center.
In addition, The Trims will be performing for the opening of the Cosplay Spectaular.

The Trims
In the Bay Area, there is a lot of great new music coming out each week. Bands break up, new ones begin and the buzz ensues… That brings us to The Trims, a local San Jose outfit that has the loyal fan-base and buzz to take them beyond their locality and into a national “spotlight”. The Trims have a strong sound reminiscent of early Strokes and the brit pop of the 90′s, while also conjuring the swagger of artists like Joy Division. Blend that style with lyrics about all things scandalous, and you have the identity that defines The Trims.
