Registration Opens November 7 at Noon (Pacific Time)

October 22, 2017

Hi everyone,

You’ve been asking for it and now it’s coming soon! FanimeCon Registration will be going live at November 7 at 12:00 pm (noon), Pacific Time.

Some changes regarding registration this year:

We’re removing Group Registration. This wasn’t an easy decision for us, but the number of people that registered this way was relatively low compared to the amount of resources dedicated to maintaining this process. We will be putting these resources to work on a prioritized list of improvements to the experience members receive. Topping that list are things that boost member safety and other enhancements to the convention.

We’re implementing a new program called Club Registration – it’s simply a formal process for corporations, school anime clubs, and organizations that need to pay and register via an invoicing process rather than the traditional online payment system. Details to come in a future update.

We are bringing the Child Badge to the internet this year! We’re giving you the option to add Child Badges to your membership when you purchase your membership through the Preregistration website. This option is available for those with children age ten or under that you’d like to accompany you on your journeys at FanimeCon 2018.

Of course, we haven’t forgotten about Housing. Your Housing priority windows will continue to be linked to your registration dates and times. This hasn’t changed for this year. We don’t have a firm Housing launch date at present, but we will do an announcement beforehand, so keep an eye out on our social media channels and our website.

Fanimaid Cafe Scavenger Hunt

May 20, 2017

In celebration of Fanimaid Café’s 10th anniversary, Fanimaid Café would like to engage our patrons through a fun, interactive activity that takes you through different areas of FanimeCon and encourages exploration of the many activity areas that the convention has to offer.

The scavenger hunt will require participants to find nine mini-maid prints hidden around the con. Patrons can pick up a scavenger card at the Info Desk or Fanimaid Café.

At each location, patrons will take a selfie with each mini-maid print and upload a collage of all nine selfies onto their Instagram by tagging #Fanimaid2017. Each day, the cafe will award 25 participants with prizes. The distribution of prizes would be as follows:

  1. First Prize: The first five participants per day will be awarded an exclusive Fanimaid enamel pin, a Fanimaid button, and an Instax picture with the Fanimaid Café maids.
  2. Second Prize: The following 10 participants will a Fanimaid button, and an Instax picture with the Fanimaid Café maids.
  3. Third Prize: The final 10 participants will receive only a free Instax picture with the Fanimaid Café maids.

Any participant who completes the Scavenger Hunt can get a free photo opportunity with the maids, who greet our patrons at the door.

Instructions to claim prizes will be included on the Scavenger Hunt Card in fine text, and online where available.

Prizes are subject to availability, can change, and are as supplies last. One (1) prize per Instagram account. All prizes are non-transferrable and have no cash value. Prizes cannot be exchanged for cash. Prizes can only be claimed at the Fanimaid Café on Saturday May 27th, 2017, or Sunday May 28th, 2017 during open cafe hours.
