Lords and ladies of FanimeCon! Now is the time to don your finest tuxes, fancy dresses, and formal cosplays and hit the ballroom! Enjoy an elegant evening out, courtesy of the Black & White Ball. This year, we celebrate the Black & White Ball’s 10th anniversary, looking back to the first Ball of our infancy in 2007, and raising a glass to high hopes for all future Black & White Balls to come. In honor of the 10th anniversary, this weekend will be filled with dance performances and challenges, along with an informal social dance known as the decompression dance party. You can also commemorate the event by getting your official “prom” photo taken by Mynessa Photography.
Can’t dance? Try any lesson on us, on a first-come, first serve basis, ranging from the Hustle to Tokyo Polka, so sign up early! Lesson sessions are held all weekend long leading up to the ball, starting in the morning and running into the evening (or, on Sunday, until the ball.) Don’t have any formal wear? Idris’ Closet is your formal wear fairy godmother for the evening, and all proceeds go to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, and can be found all weekend in Marriott Willow Glen 2 and 3.
Our decompression dance party also offers a more informal venue for all who just want to practice what they learned in lessons and relax with friends. While no formality is needed here, heels must still be in accordance with dress code.
So join us for a night to remember on Sunday at 6:00 pm, for the first time ever in the Marriott’s San Jose Ballroom, or at any one of our lessons in the same location. Visit https://www.fanime.com/events/#black-and-white-ball today to find out more, and we look forward to seeing you there!
