Born in New York, USA, nano is a bilingual singer who uses powerful and unique vocals to wield both Japanese and English lyrics like a native speaker.
nano got their start by posting English covers of Japanese music on video sites such as YouTube, and quickly gained fans from around the world. Their amazing music has been featured in Phi Brain: Puzzle of God, BTOOOM!, Arpeggio of Blue Steel, Aria the Scarlet Ammo, and more.
nano’s first studio album nanoir was released in March 2012 and debuted at 12th place on the Oricon Daily chart, an unusual chart action for a rookie. Following the album launch, nano held their first live concert “Remember your color.” in March 2013, selling out all 2,500 tickets on the first day. This was then followed by an invitation to perform that May at the Japanese culture convention DoKomi in Dusseldorf, Germany, where nano packed the concert venue to its full 1,500-person capacity. January 2015 saw the release of nano’s 3rd album Rock on., which reached 6th on the Oricon Weekly charts. Since then, nano has held live tours in Japan every year as well as solo concerts overseas, starting with Taiwan in April 2015.
The year 2017 marked nano’s 5th anniversary, which was commemorated with two new single releases, an album release, and a live tour that spanned three different countries. FanimeCon will be their first live performance in the country of their birth.
