Fan Storage

Fan Storage allows all of our attendees to store items for a small fee. Whether they will be staying in the hotels or offsite, for one day or the whole weekend.

What is the Fan Storage department?

Hotel bag checks tend to fill up quickly and are unable to typically handle the load of bags, especially on Monday (which is when nearly all of our attendees check out). This puts each hotel in a tough spot as they can (and have) run out of room very quickly, so we are offering to help them and you out!

Where can I find the Fan Storage room?

We are located on the first floor of the Hilton San Jose in the Market Room, next to the Secco Restaurant and Bar.

Friday: 2:00 pm – 8:00 pm
Saturday: 10:00 am – 7:00 pm
Sunday: 10:00 am – 7:00 pm
Monday: 10:00 am – 3:00 pm

Is there a cost to hold items?

Yes, please see the pricing table below.

$1 – Posters
$2 – Small Bag/Purses/Small Props
$2 – Jacket/Coat/Costumes (Must fit on one hanger)
$3 – Medium Bag/Backpack/Grocery Bag
$5 – Large Bag/Luggage
$5 – Flat-Rate Box (Items must not stick out of the box or extra fees may accrue)

Flat-Rate boxes are an option that lets fans “rent” out a box to accommodate those with several small items and trinkets. You can place as many items as you want into it, as long as it fits into the box without sticking over the top.

Disclaimer and Fine Print

FanimeCon’s Fan Storage Department will be on a first-come, first-served basis, and if we get filled to capacity, we will be unable to take in more items until checked-in items are picked up. FanimeCon Staff has the right to price items accordingly if the item is not listed and/or for bulk items. Items left overnight will be charged for each additional day.

In and Out Policy

Customers are allowed ONE in-and-out opportunity for all items, allowing them to temporarily check out an item to modify, add, or remove the contents and then check in again afterwards without a brand new fee. Be aware that by adding more, there may be a price increase to your original fee. A second in-and-out is not possible without completely checking out and checking in the item again.

Attendees must have at least two types of the listed identifiers to get their items back:

  • Badge
  • Claim Ticket (provided by Fan Storage)
  • Any Photo I.D. w/ your name (school, driver’s license, passport, etc.)

Are you also checking items for the Black & White Ball?

We are teaming up with Idris’ Closet for Sunday night to provide a coat check for FanimeCon’s Black & White Ball. Because of this, space will be limited, and we will only accept small items and coats; we will not accept large items, such as luggage, duffle bags, large props, and possibly overstuffed/overly large backpacks. This is also based on a first-come, first-served basis.
