When starting a game, each player’s deck is shuffled and the players will randomly determine who goes first. Each player will draw five cards and may choose to discard the cards they do not want and draw the amount that they discard. This can only be done. Cardfight!! Vanguard
Players will need to bring their own deck in order to participate in the event.
Each player may use a 50-card deck, including their chosen first Vanguard and/or Ride Deck. Each deck must contain exactly 16 trigger cads. There may be a maximum of fiveHeal triggers, regardless of their names and the deck may contain one Over trigger maximum. Optionally, players may have a G-Deck which contains 15 cards that are only G-Units.
After shuffling their main decks, players must offer for their opponent to cut the deck. Each player puts their main deck into the deck zone face down, ride deck into the ride deck storage, G-Deck into the G-Zone, and any markers or tokens they plan to use near the G-Zone. Players will use a random method to decide who will take the first turn. The player who goes first cannot declare an attack during their first turn. Each player draws five cards from their deck to form their opening hand. Players may choose any number of their cards and put them on the bottom of their deck and redraw their cards from the top of the deck. The deck must be reshuffled and recut if this occurs. Players may only do this once each. When players are ready, they will turn their first Vanguards face up and call out “Stand Up, Vanguard!”
