For those that have applied, we will be contacting you once the judging process has been completed. Please remember to check your email and keep updated on the FanimeCon website, Twitter, Facebook, and FAQ.

FanimeCon 2017 Artist Alley Registration Officially Open

Attention Artists!

FanimeCon’s Artist Alley is open, and will be accepting applications for the 2017 convention from Friday, November 4 8:00AM PST to Monday, November 7 11:59PM PST!

FanimeCon 2017 Artist Alley Signup Website

No payments or seller’s permits will be needed at this time. FanimeCon uses a jury system to choose its participants for the Artist Alley. This submission is only to collect your registration information and your submissions for the jury process. Once this process has been completed, you will receive a notification from Artist Alley staff on the status of your submission.

If you are chosen to participate, we will notify you as to when you can continue the registration process. Typically this process includes:

  • Seller’s Permit information.
  • Table payment.
  • Proof of full convention pass purchase.

We hope that you will apply to be in our Artist Alley and will be given the opportunity to show at FanimeCon 2017!

Please note:

  • All applicants will need to be over 18 years old at the start of the convention – May 26th, 2017.
  • Artists wanting to share a table at the convention MUST apply together.
  • Applications will be reviewed and approved through a jury system, and will need to have 3-5 links for sample images of what they intend to offer at the convention.
  • Table displays will be limited to a maximum of six feet above the top of the table, and may not extend past the confines of the 72″ x 30″ table.
  • There is no helper registration. Helpers will be processed at the convention.

GunPla Builders World Cup 2016

Set your GP Base, it’s time for GunPla battle! FanimeCon has been selected to host one of the North American qualifiers for the 2016 Gunpla Builders World Cup (GBWC). The entry awarded Best in Show in FanimeCon’s competition will move on to compete against other winners from the national qualifiers for the opportunity to represent North America in the finals in Japan.

Exclusive to FanimeCon will be special judge awards by Guests of Honor Masaya Matsukaze (Gaelio Bauduin, Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans) and Daisuke Sakaguchi (Uso Erwin, Mobile Suit Victory Gundam) who will be selecting their favorite GBWC entries!

To enter, fill out the entry form at GBWC’s site and e-mail it to hobby@bluefincorp.com. Then, bring your completed entries to the Bluefin booth in the Dealer’s Hall before 12 p.m. on Sunday (5/29) to enter. Entries will be displayed at the booth during the convention. Judging will take place and awards will be given out starting at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday (5/29) at the Bluefin booth. Please make sure to pick up your entries no later than 12 p.m. on Monday (5/30).

Art Gallery Regrettably Canceled for FanimeCon 2016

We regret to officially inform you that Art Gallery will undergo a transition year and will not take place at FanimeCon 2016. We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to those that have participated in the gallery in the past and those that have expressed interest this year.

FanimeCon Registration: Now in the Marriott

FanimeCon Registration has moved! This year, registration will be located in the San Jose Marriott on the 2nd floor in the San Jose Ballrooms 1-6.
